    macOS is a BSD derivative (which is, itself, just UNIX System V with a bunch of extensions installed-- long story there)-- linux - on the other hand - is reversed-engineered OS resembling UNIX-- in a way , they’re related, but, at best, they’re cousins… and macOS (originally NeXTSTEP, developed in the mid-80s by NeXT, Inc, and later bought by Apple) came years earlier.

    actually the story of all of this is super-interesting. and you’re… quite wrong– I’ve been studying the history of this for decades, and you’re talkIng out of your butt, lol
