      I think it would be cool to build cities underground and allow much of Earth above ground to be dedicated to natural habitats and parks.

        I think the resource intensity of living underground would have a much worse environmental impact than just living sustainably on the surface

      They do that and I’m ok with it, though it limits the trees you can put on top but idk I saw a bunch like that in Buenos Aires
