I think it would be cool to build cities underground and allow much of Earth above ground to be dedicated to natural habitats and parks.
I think the resource intensity of living underground would have a much worse environmental impact than just living sustainably on the surface
there’s some earthship kinda weirdos building hobbit homes and some of those are neat.
what’s the city version of that? i can’t imagine 13 story hills being very viable for a semi-underground apartment block. maybe in Duluth?
