Well, I’d hazard an alternative: I believe what the settlers did – after the murderers cleared the American population out of their new home – standing up and challenging the leadership, even, if necessary, forming a cohesive army of rebels to violently fight for rights they deemed at the time absolutely vital and worth such a barbaric and last-resort act as killing for, is something I appreciate.
