Davos, a 5-letter city beginning with “D” that’s associated with the ultra rich

Dubai, a 5-letter city beginning with “D” that’s associated with the ultra rich

    I don’t understand this axis

Davos is where the WEF confrence is. One of the rules these uber rich have is to disclose how they are going to fuck us over “You’ll own nothing and be happy”.

Dubai is the investment wing of that? Maybe it’s a global vs insular thing. WEF triggers a lot of the nationalists. Maybe that’s what they are going for.

      • The hilarious thing about chuds hating WEF is that it’s literally billionaire chud central. They only hate it because of some silly internet conspiracy theories and their so-called “hatred” of what they call “globalism”

Realistically, they’re all treatlers that love globalism, it’s how they feed their gormless little hog faces with treats.

It’s a narrative tool to let them center the “cabal” that’s ruining their society. Who or what they actually are is irrelevant. They are just pasting their own personal fascist narrative on top of it.

Neither do the two guys behind the survey, another (sorta) 5-letter name that starts with “D” - what a couple of…

But, seriously, they explain it in a box above the survey: it’s claimed the former represents democracy, and the latter nationalism. That’s been shot down pretty thoroughly in earlier comments above.

It calls you a chud for saying alternative girls are sexy. But thinking alternative girls are sexy is not a reactionary position when you’ve taken great lengths to become an alternative girl, like I have. I AM sexy.

this is the first time i’ve heard of “alternative girl” and the urban dictionary gives a definition that matches scene and/or goth girls. what’s the difference?

Alternative is more like the broad umbrella category that includea many non-mainstream fashion subcultures, so it includes goths, emos, scene kids, e-girls, rockabillies etc

My vibe is kind of pop punk-ish.

For chuds though it basically women with piercings, tattoos, colored hair etc who they both attack for being non traditional and also sexually objectify.

When the left-most public figure in your country is a streamer, your country has a dogshit political system and its doomed.

Also I’m actually more hope-pilled than doom-pilled, it’s because the questions were written by a liberal I appear so.

I like the bent of it, this concept is almost approaching an actually useful quiz, but then it’s just trash, which I love even more. I’m guessing porn is woke in this quiz. My confidence is not shaken by this chudscore!

It’s literally heartbreaking to see someone attempt to integrate this

into a quiz and situate it as diametrically opposed to Davos. No it isn’t. That’s not true.

The most charitable possible interpretation would be first world liberal internationalism versus semiperipheral (am I using this term correctly?) compradors trying to gain security in a system that needs them on edge. That’s definitely not what they mean. I only know one guy who talks like that and I barely get what he is saying.

Would it be a stretch to say that people like Erdogan are in the international version of the petit bourgeoisie? Constantly trying to find a mystical third path between capitalism and socialism, or in this case between imperialism and true internationalism, which is not-so-secretly just fascism and getting merced by the next biggest fascists.

The UAE even has pretensions of supporting the third world if you talk to the right stans, who are all completely delusional and barely know what words mean. They want to wriggle out of the deal they locked themselves into. That’s more like a health condition within the same entity that a polar opposite entity.

Dubai & Davos would already be delineated by the chudwoke axis within a framework that acknowledges this tug-of-war. They don’t need their own for the memes.

A lot of the questions are hard for the same reason most political compass questions are hard. It’ll say something like “is x good for society?” Which society? The one where it’s owned and operated entirely at the behest of Peter Thiel? Absolutely not.

If 90% of jobs got automated tomorrow the working class would be kind of fucked. I would have said “The capitalist system would collapse immediately if that happened” a few years ago, but lately I’ve realized that these things are a lot sticker than they “should be”. I don’t think that take is at odds with LTOV because people seem to just sort of carry on doing their usual thing even if it doesn’t make sense anymore. I think millions would have to starve first

Some of the questions are phrased in an at least morbidly funny way.

    Israel is committing a genocide

    Strongly Agree

    Agree

    Don’t Know

    Disagree

They are and it’s a good thing

And in this example I think it does well enough to capture the political spectrum, though perhaps Agree could be replaced with “war crimes” to represent the “moderate” opinion.

But obviously a lot of these are framed in a less-than-constructive way, e.g. equating democracy with Davos for some fucking reason, but seemingly also equating it with human rights in general, which isn’t really how that works.

Well shit, ironically I think this is because I said I was very hopeful for my country…the unspoken is that i’m hopeful because hopefully it won’t exist in the future lol
