Been reading through the Shadowdark RPG rulebook by Kelsey Dionne, as well as the solo rules supplement and some third party materials. I highly recommend it if you like TTRPGs and want something more streamlined than 5e. I played it for the first time at a convention last month, and it really clicked for me.
Last RPG I played was “Kobolds & Trench Coats” with some people at the library. It was funny. If you know Lasers & Feelings, it’s based off that idea, but with the theme “you’re just playing 3 kobolds in a trench coat”.
I haven’t heard of either, but it sounds like a funny premise!
It was hilarious! I’m usually into “crunchier” games, but I haven’t played much lately.
It’s great! I had a blast playing it at ComiCon.
Nice! I started running some adventures for my regular group, and everyone seems to like it so far. It helps that 2 of the people played at the convention with me.
I think Sly Flourish (of lazy DM fame) ran a full fledged campaign with Shadowdark.
