    He discovered a land with hundreds of millions of people already living there. Then the Europeans genocided the fuck out of them. He should be remembered as one of histories greatest villains, not a fun adventurer.

            I dunno if you noticed but the definition has absolutely nothing to do with being in public office, lol. People are being persuaded into believing Columbus was a fun explorer and he’s the reason civility was brought to the americas, when in fact the only export was barbarism, death, famine, and bloodshed.

            You are not immune to propaganda.

                  I am afraid we understand the meaning of propaganda in a different way. Good and bad is a huge simplification, but I do agree with you on that.

                  I do not think this does push towards certain positions, for one because these are facts which happened a long time ago; even rewriting history completely about that time does not have a huge impact on current times in my opinion.

                  But sure, go ahead and call me stupid.
