If I understand right, Mitch (still a PoS person) was increasingly hating MAGA and Trump. If he actually was alive to have a say, he would probably support doing the special election just as a fuck you to MAGA.
He might have hated MAGA but he rightly perceived that it is the only thing keeping the right wing going in this country. That’s the thing with Republicants who “hate” MAGA: they never hate it more than they hate the left.
