I’ve done both.
I find I would generally prefer to be the well meaning idiot that’s out of their depth but still willing to play support than try to wrangle a bunch of idiots.
That’s because idiots that are willing to both not interfere and still be helpful when possible are incredibly rare.
Ooh, an interesting point. You don’t want to be the one dragging the team down, but if you’re just there to lift shit and get coffee, that could still be appreciated.
Idea in team of intelligence. 1 I can always learn or atleast copy them. 2 being surrounded by idiots is so frustrating.
Well right now I’m an idiot on a team of even bigger idiots, which is pretty close to the 2nd option. It might be fun to see what it’s like to be around actual competence for a change, so I’ll go with #1.
