Everything is slop now because the term has lost all meaning. If you can’t tell if something"is slop", then by literal definition it is not slop, but you can’t/won’t accept that, therefore everything is now slop.

Stop nitpicking artists for the tools they’ve used, and just enjoy their creations already without the compulsive need to label it.

I feel the same way about paper. The corpse of a living being as your canvas? How despicably morbid. Definitely the modus operandi of tools. Fuck paper “canvas.” I call those abominations: corpse-slop.

And don’t get me started on the losers who think they can make art with computers. Do you know how much electricity those use? Not to mention all the pirating of media - someone making “art” with a computer probably based it off something they stole online, so it’s not even original. I call those losers’ attempts: electro-slop.

Everyone knows true artists use sticks that fell off a tree to make art in the dirt. That’s the only way to make real art. And if they used their eyes to see anything else that anyone else made before they used their twig, then it’s not original art. Then it’s copy-slop.

It’s nice to finally meet a fellow real artist, who takes gatekeeping art very seriously, like I do. What type of branches do you prefer to use, what’s your favorite type of soil, and what do you like to use as a blindfold, to make sure you don’t accidentally make any copy-slop?

Edit: Oh, and don’t you just love that feeling, as a fellow art gatekeeper, when someone shows you something that they made but they didn’t use the tools or methods that you approve of, so you get to you say to their face: “That’s not art, you loser, you just made slop!” Being an art gatekeeper is the best!

Art takes human effort and creativity. And of course there are multiple mediums, AI just isn’t one of them. I’m not gatekeeping anything, just stating fact. I’m sorry you have zero talent and rely on stealing others work to pass off as your own.

Yes, and as we all know, there is no human involved when AI is used. The computer spontaneously has an idea, specifies all the details, reviews the results, tweaks them, and continues refinement until the computers own vision is achieved. It does this by sketching the work of others who have already created what it wants; and because all art that can be created, has already been created, this is possible solely through theft. The computers final output is a replica of someone else’s art, and at no point is a person involved in the process.

I am also stating facts, fellow art gatekeeper.

There’s no point in arguing with a moron. Keep it up showcasing your idiocy. 😘

                  • edit: engaging with a moron. Either works.

Who is arguing? I am simply reaffirming the unassailable truth that you spout, as only a true art gatekeeper can. Only we can decide what is art, and what is not, and a computer stealing art by making duplicates of existing art, without any human input whatsoever, is definitely not art.

…You never did tell me what sticks you prefer to use, what kind of sand, and how you blindfold yourself… I’m beginning to suspect you’re not actually an artist. You probably make electro-slop, right?
