Weird hearsay article. I really think it just got marketed terribly. I quite enjoyed the character of Supergirl, and I enjoyed the take on intergalactic cultural differences. If Superman was an 8, Supergirl is a 7, imo.
My wife and I went to see it, theatre was actually pretty packed. It’s not a perfect movie but the fights felt real, Alcock felt like she embodied the character well. The villian was…boring and one note, maybe zero note. Felt like he should have been underling for somebody more compelling. I feel like they used Jason Manoa’s lobo appropriately, didn’t still the limelight but added some interest.
