Worst I saw was some Lamborghini. You have to jack up the car, remove the rear left wheel, and remove the wheel arch liner to get access to the battery compartment behind it. Then you have to just feel around in there to pull the battery out, and feel around some more to push the new one back in.
With a Lamborghini I can almost understand it because they’re engineered for weight distribution, space saving, etc. Why my mother in law’s Jeep Compass has exactly the same procedure, including the feeling around blindly, I couldn’t tell you.
