that fact would indicate the issue with power imbalance. i guarantee that would not be the case in a society that did not have massive wealth disparity and the reseultant inequity. Many of the ones ones that don’t get convicted the victims are poor but the assaultants are rich. When you reverse that do a poor assaultant and rich victim all of a sudden the law works better.

If he did not have special privelege he would be in jail.

The special privilege is being a man and a rapist, not that he’s rich.

Rapists across the board don’t see much jail time at all. Poor or rich.

Stop trying to downplay our society’s issues with rape.

so we definately have a viewpoint difference that cannot be resolved. If you think rich or poor a rapist is treated the same you definately look at the world through different glasses. I don’t see much point at more discourse.

I mean I don’t mean to extend this but you know you could have stated the same sooner. You did not have to wait for me to decide we simply don’t see eye to eye. Im not arguing the point anymore but I find your “Finally” comment to be wierd.

I’m not really interested in being the one to back down from facts like rape statistics in the face of men who want to downplay how we treat rapists in our society.

Clearly you didn’t because you came back to continue the conversation even though you “don’t see much point at more discourse.”

I know I didn’t have to wait for you to realize we don’t see eye to eye. That’s not a good enough reason for me to abdicate my responsibility to victims and the facts about rape.
