The slogan “Tax the rich and save the world” comes from a message from the Patriotic Millionaires—a group of more than 200 high-net-worth Americans, from investors and executives to filmmakers and heirs, who are actively lobbying Congress to raise their own taxes.

Millionaires are watching billionaires pull further ahead financially, and watching their coastal properties sink closer to the waterline as unchecked carbon emissions push sea levels higher.

    Why only tax them?

I want world wide wealth caps! Nobody should have a net worth over 10 million dollars. There is no right, no reason, nothing that can argue that anyone should have more than that. Even 10 million is too much IMHO

Any income after reaching that limit should be taxed 100% until the person is below the threshold again

Governments will have huge funds they can use for universal healthcare, universal basic income, free education for all, etc.

Governments can setup non profit foundations that fund independent journalism with the single rule that all news must be factual and as unbiased as possible

If you can only have 10 million in net worth, you can own a home abd a micro business, or a small part of a business. If you want funding, sure, add more shareholders. Since nobody can be extremely rich anymore a billion dollars company would require some 2000 semi equal shareholders

Since nobody can get insanely rich (or poor) anymore, there will no longer be incentives to commit crimes, or for companies to lie to their customers. Why cheat if it won’t get you anything tangible? Why fight to get an extra million of you have all you need to live nice?

Wealth caps, IMHO is the solution to so many of this world’s problems, it’s insane that no politician talks about this.
