So I bought a pipe to clinch but I didn’t like the plastic so I made a few mods.
The bowl is some cheap hardwood (guessing Oak) but so thickly coated in a Cherry finish that I don’t know. And the mouthpiece I use is the vase side of a hooka hose which Im pretty sure is Birch, also with a Cherry finish that I’ve chipped off where I chew it… threw some leather cord around it where the ring used to be and this is my go to pondering and writing fidget.
I did season it with a short smoke (I don’t care for the taste or effects of tabbaco but love the smell of old ash and oil). But otherwise this is fairly stock woods.
What’s the use case if you’re not smoking out of it?
Its effectively a fidget. Like I also use it to limit my breathing rate a bit. Like I take a “drag” off it by covering the hole with my thumb a bit to make it a slower draw amd just sorta puff it out like I am actually smoking it but it’s mostly just for the flavor and the thoughtful breathing… Could I do this without the pipe? Yes. Would I feel as chuffed about it (positive chuffed) no.
