No reason for this whatsoever

So the question I have here is, if Bluetooth is disabled, does it still broadcast the unique ID? Can any of that be truly disabled or do I have to stuff my phone in a faraday bag? What about the Bluetooth ID in my cars heading, can that even be disabled?
