Ohhh, you mean video streaming services, not like Twitch randos. Okay. That’s still sort of horrible, versus just replacing the old setup with a flat tax on anything television-esque, to fund domestic programming. A slim percent of everything is a lot, and people can just deal with it.
If streamers can opt out of investing in can-con then it is only fair that the Canadan broadcasters should be allowed to opt out too. It is time to end forced can-con and allow the broadcasters to compete. If that means only airing American content then so be it.
While true, your conclusion is the opposite.
Opting out should mean opting out of the market.
