I remember reading something about a restoration of some kind, i think it was by zizek, how some church after some upheaval wanted some of its land back. The problem was how they wanted back all the lands they held in 1577. They werent content to set the clocks back an hour, they had to set it back by centuries.
That would be a pretty good bit by the Catholics “Sure you can have your lands back, as long as we expropriate the 60% of arable farmland we had in 1300 from the landowners for free”
