That’s fair. And I wouldn’t say it fucked it up for me, I still enjoyed the remaster quite a lot (though I actually did wind up doing a much longer modded play through of the original right after… cuz many more better mods). But it really did highlight how different the atmosphere and tone were.
To be fair, during exploration, I found the remaster’s atmosphere to be an improvement. It felt a lot more immersive.
100% agree on the exploration atmosphere. I’ve got like 130-140 hours in it, and probably a third of that is just deciding to not fast travel to an objective and getting lost in the forest checking out random stuff.
I see what you’re saying, but Bethesda’s dialogue transitions have always been jarring so it didn’t really fuck it up for me.
