These “failure to protect” lawsuits against cops get knocked down by SCOTUS don’t they? As far as I know there’s no duty to protect or serve based on legal precedent.
Yeah, police only have a duty to protect you if you are in their specific care. For example: they cannot let a random person assault you while you are arrested.
