A good day, but not a great one to marshal as there is only one half hour race all day! Its basically a sales event, rich persons club and they hire Silverstone for the day to twat their cars around.
The F80 is a horrible looking in person. There was a Monza SP2 as well, but didnt get a photo. Sorry.

The last good looking Ferrari was the 355 and I will fight till death on that hill. On a lighter note, how do one become a race marshal?

This is a good start. There’s a couple online exams, nothing too taxing, and optional training, but most learning is done on race days.
If you don’t mind me, I’ve got a question. Do you they give you some sort of transport to/from the circuit? What about food? Or do you have yo pay for everything?
Firstly no, you have to make your own way to the circuit. Silverstone provides food, Donington does breakfasts otherwise youre best off bringing your own. You dont have to pay for anything. You’re volunteering for free! You get more access to racing than any fan!
One of my neighbours owns a 355 F1 GTS hard top. Its immaculate.
Some of the pictures are really lovely!
I’m struggling more and more to recognize the Ferrari models, but I think the 296, Roma, F80 and Amalfi lokk great.
Too sweeeeeet!
Daaamn. The tech on that car. It’s like a space machine.
These cars are turn key, by that I mean ready to go and easy to turn on and off. They’re only 4 to 5 seconds slower than the GT3 versions (when driven by a pro) but the GT3s are awfully complex and have complicated start up procedures. The challenge cars can be purchased by anyone.
Nice. What I mean by tech is the aerodynamic stuff.
When do the cool cars come to race?
All cars that raced were identical 296 Challenge cars. Its around £60,000 per race weekend.
