I’m a very amateur programmer and recently started learning rust. I started reading the standard rust book but was browsing Amazon for some other books. I’m seeing so many books published in the past year or two. I bought one:
Functional programming with rust by Danny Lehman
It is self published with poor formatting and layout. The language in it is rather repetitive and I’m suspecting it is mostly written using AI.
I found one specific author, Julian Lornfeld, who has nearly 50 published books on Amazon in the past year…

Avoid buying books written after 2022.
For Rust specifically, the official book should get you up to speed. There’s also Rust by Example. If you want to get into unsafe, the Rustonomic is good. Rust Atomics and Locks, if you’re into low-level stuff. All of them are free, by the way.
Also, might be controversial, but you can just pirate books you aren’t sure about. If a book turns out to be good, then buy it to support the author.
