I’m a very amateur programmer and recently started learning rust. I started reading the standard rust book but was browsing Amazon for some other books. I’m seeing so many books published in the past year or two. I bought one:
Functional programming with rust by Danny Lehman
It is self published with poor formatting and layout. The language in it is rather repetitive and I’m suspecting it is mostly written using AI.
I found one specific author, Julian Lornfeld, who has nearly 50 published books on Amazon in the past year…


Yeah, it’s a plague. The nonfiction titles are similarly packed with authors whose entire careers seem to be churning out as much cheap, barely readable shit as they can.
