Not terribly much has happened in the last week. The main two developments is the very much expected resumption of fire in Lebanon as the ZIonists are famously agreement-incapable, and the continuing supply of equipment to the Middle East, including the George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier. This means there are now three aircraft carriers in the general vicinity, and while I’m uncertain how much of a role the burnt-out Ford and the increasingly exhausted Lincoln will ultimately play (they were rather ineffective during the first round), there are also a good ~20 destroyers and however many submarines that are carrying their own munitions. I have a couple more paragraphs of exposition below, but it’s unlikely to be major news to anybody here, so I’ve spoilered it.

On the one hand, it feels like a resumption of the war for the US at this point would be complete madness. We are getting article after article from even the Western media admitting to US standoff+interceptor missile shortages, as well as detailing the extensive damage to US bases. The Zionists are also getting ever more mired in Lebanon, with Hezbollah’s unjammable fibre optic drones playing an ever more prominent role in causing substantial long range damage to invading forces. On the other hand, it is very unlikely that most of the US’s remaining firepower is being brought to the region on a mere bluff. For its part, Iran and their allies seem to have their finger on the trigger, with their own extensive repairs, upgrades, resupplies, and adjustments having been made for round two.
Assessing the overall global economic situation is difficult, not least because of a degree of financial manipulation that is almost admirable in its sheer scale and recklessness - to quote Ghalibaf: “Their frontline is the yield curve.” Multiple countries are now facing real and desperate shortages, including major economies like Japan. Diesel prices continue their record rises, and reports about the potential impacts to all sectors of the global economy are streaming in, with famines around the world now very likely. While the US is profiting from the rise in oil prices, it seems like it will be unable to meaningfully increase production for at least a year or two, and so the US will certainly not be replacing the massive oil barrel deficit to create an energy hegemony, as some have suggested. In contrary: this is the best opportunity in a generation for China, Russia, and Iran to collectively make economic decisions that could cripple entire pillars of American hegemony. However, if the response is lacking - and we’ve all seen before over the last four years how China’s responses to crises have been on the lacking side - we could see a (albeit temporary) strengthening of the US’s financial power, as this global crisis will almost certainly result in debt climbing even higher as Western financial institutions grant loans en masse to struggling countries in the developing world. It’s very uncertain times.

Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don’t want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it’s just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
Simplicius, who publishes on Substack. Like others, his political analysis should be soundly ignored, but his knowledge of weaponry and military strategy is generally quite good.

They are just… standing there? No reaction to any drone buzzing, do they assume all drones are theirs? Lmao
Not sure at all but the video on the first one that hits looks fuzzy enough to be a radio drone, too, not an optic fiber one; and it doesn’t look like there are any countermeasures against it, either - that’s a clean video feed right up until the end.
I think the second one maybe was shot down. You can hear shots being fired and it falls short of target.
Maybe the reason they show little fear of drones is that they have defenses we don’t know of, which are capable of shooting down drones consistently? (Ex: there was nobody on drone duty in clip 1).
Edit: It could also be arrogance
If Israel had some kind of drone point defense that worked they would be crowing about it 24/7, they’re basically just the military industrial complex with a knesset
The first was fast enough they might have just not picked the sound out of a loud environment quick enough to react. Or maybe they just assumed it was the semen extraction drone IDK.
the drones pick you up like a crane claw and carry you off to the dick milking dungeon
Ukrainian soldiers left emaciated on frontline from lack of food and water
Top commander fired after wife of one malnourished soldier posted shocking images on social media
more
Ukraine’s defence ministry has fired a top commander after photos emerged of a group of emaciated soldiers who have been left on the frontline for months without proper food and water. The scandal erupted after the wife of one of the soldiers, Anastasiia Silchuk, posted the images on social media. The four men appeared to be pale and visibly malnourished, with prominent ribcages and thin arms. The soldiers had spent eight months defending a shrinking bulge of territory on the left bank of the Oskil River, near the north-eastern Ukrainian city of Kupiansk, their relatives said. Supplies of food and medicines could only be flown in by drone. “When the lads arrived at the frontlines, they weighed over 80–90kg. But now they weigh around 50kg,” Silchuk posted. After one delivery, she said, no more food turned up for 10 days. The soldiers were forced to drink rainwater and melt snow to survive. “The longest they went without food was 17 days. They weren’t listened to on the radio, or perhaps no one wanted to listen to them. My husband shouted and begged, saying there was no food and water,” she said, adding that the problem was bigger than just one case. Another relative, Ivanna Poberezhnyuk, said the soldiers from the 14th Separate Mechanised brigade were left in an extremely difficult situation. “Fighters are losing consciousness from hunger,” she said. Her father was evacuated from the position, but others were still stuck there, she added.
Ukraine’s general staff said it had replaced the commander, who was responsible for feeding the soldiers. The brigade acknowledged there were logistical problems and said deliveries were only possible by air because their location was extremely close to enemy lines. A spokesperson said: “Everything is done by drones. The Russians pay maximum attention to the deliveries of food, ammunition and fuel. They intercept and shoot down as much as possible. Sometimes they are not so interested in our military equipment as in logistics, actually.” Since Vladimir Putin’s full-scale invasion in early 2022, the grey zone between the two sides has expanded dramatically. Both use drones extensively for surveillance and to target armoured vehicles and infantry. Soldiers are forced to walk 10-15km to reach their forward positions. In recent months, Ukraine has been using more and more unmanned ground robots to send supplies into exposed areas and to evacuate wounded soldiers. In the Kupiansk sector, Russia has destroyed bridges across the Oskil River in an attempt to cut off Ukrainian forces on the left bank.
Silchuk said on Friday that conditions have improved since the issue came to light. “There’s a new commander,” she posted. “He rang us and said the situation is being resolved. And it really is. My husband wrote to me that he’s just eaten more than he has in the last eight months.” She added: “The lads are eating little by little at the moment. Their stomachs have shrunk, and they don’t know whether they will have food tomorrow or not. I believe this situation needed to be publicised. There needs to be a rotation; the boys require medical treatment.” Ukraine’s military command said it had launched an investigation. “It should be noted that recently another shipment of food was delivered to the position of the 14th Infantry brigade. If favourable conditions exist, an immediate evacuation of our soldiers will be carried out,” it added.
God I’m terrified to learn, after the war concludes, about just how bad things got for these poor conscripts.
Liberals will tell you they knew the whole time after watching the Netflix documentary made years after. The suffering of the Ukrainian people will only be understood by leftists who bothered to care when it was happening.
