as of next Thursday, the PS5 will cost $649.99 in the U.S. The price for its digital edition was also raised by $100, to $599.99. The PS5 Pro will cost $899.99, a $150 increase.
The company raised prices similarly for other regions, including the United Kingdom, Europe and Japan.

Good news for the steam machine?
Steam Machine will also be hit with everything that is going on globally unless Valve decides to heavily subsidize the hardware. They probably don’t have the volume discounts that MS/Sony/Nintendo do, who sell hardware with low margins to begin with.
Even if the Steam Machine is reasonably priced, scalpers would grab them all and keep prices inflated anyway.
I agree, I meant to say it’s going to be an easier pill to swallow for people if consoles are more expensive.
Ah I see.
I hope it is priced within this ballpark, yeah.
I’m under the assumption that the steam machine will need RAM as well.
