Both are 29.99 on Steam right now, have 30.00 in my budget.

Which do I buy, and what do I do with my penny?

I have played Sekiro a little when it first came out, but got frustrated and gave it away with my Xbox One, now I feel like with better hardware (good PC) I might enjoy the game more (less frustrating parry timing).

I have played Elden Ring a decent bit, somehow never quite beat it, but enjoyed it.

I have also played / beaten DS 3 XXX times, and Bloodborne XXXXXXXXXXXXX times, beaten Demon Souls remake, and Dark Souls remaster, Dark Souls 2 as well.

Which one do I buy /Soulslike?

thread seems to heavily favor Sekiro, it had been on my “rebuy” list when on sale for quite some time, and I remember the game fondly but feeling like I just could not nail the parry timings!

I’m going to give it another shot and save Night Reign for a future sale since I don’t really have too many soulsborne gamer friends and I don’t really want to play alone or with randos (get enough of that on hell divers 2 where I can at least carry a bit).

Thanks for taking the time to help me make my choice!

Yea, it’s definitely difficult to get into at first, but compared to other soulslikes that have a similar parry system in place - Lies of P, First Berserker Khazan - it’s a lot more forgiving, actually. In some cases, you can even just spam the block button for some “random” parries here and there. For most people, it takes them up to around the half-way point of the game, the first major roadblock for many, when they get the hang of the combat. It can be quite frustrating at times for sure, though.

Feel free to drop by and ask for help too if you need to - there are many on here who could share their knowledge with you! :)
