It’s hard to parse through the difference in instances when first joining lemmy tbh. I ended up creating my first account on world and it was really off-putting. Lemmy.today is a little closer to what I’m comfortable with and it’s being hosted in a state that I consider a good neighbor, so I’ve stuck around so far.
