This is what I came to say but probably better phrased.
I apologize to the planet for having been born a white American. I had no control over that part, but we do tend to be selfish arseholes and I’m sure I’ve made my fair share of bad choices. However, voting Republican for president has never been one of them.
I did expect to see Grump gleefully throw Kegsbreath under the bus at some point. He loves to do that when word gets outside if the United States that he’s actually unpopular here and most citizens don’t like him, or his minions of death.

Don’t apologize for things over which you have no control or responsibility, and this war is one of them. Your only power is local, and beyond your immediate neighborhood, you have zero power to effect meaningful change. (Provided you’re not going to go full Player 2.)
Hey, thanks? Speaking of local, I am attending the No Kings 3 march in my city on March 28th. I’m taking extra drinks and snacks, just in case. I’m not recruiting anybody to that cause, but I feel like it’s time to make better choices. I’ve been trying to steer away from using Meta, Google, or Amazon, as much as possible, and I’ve been hired by one of the few local companies that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.
But my efforts to discuss sensible changes have been met with resistance, even from my Liberal friends. I respect their rights to choose what is appropriate for themselves and their families, but I can also understand why citizens of other countries would be alarmed or even pissed off. Literally nobody asked for this energy-related disaster.
I just hope we can continue to get the word out that most Americans did not want this war, or any other war. But I get it when people outside of the United States blame American citizens, especially white Americans, because a lot of them did vote of him 3x.
Thanks so much for your message, though. It helps.
