    From an evolutionary perspective, this is true!

    Slugs have evolved multiple times from snails, due to calcium poverty, dividing off into separate species when they couldn’t get the resources for shells

        For different reasons.

        Slugs evolve because it wasn’t economically viable to be snails anymore.

        Crabs evolve because it’s so cool to be a crab
