Hurricanes can knock out power for a month in Florida. A year in Puerto Rico.
Where I live in the southern US, a light rain is likely to take out the power for a couple hours. Maybe like 10% of the time it rains.

I live in rural mexico, for 2 years now every month or 2 they cut the electricity for a day or so, due to rationing, some months we get lucky, but others it happens several times a month.
They should use the time away from electronic devices to read the books by the New Historians regarding the creation of the state of Israel
