The stereotype of narcissistic and psychopathic people is that they raise to the top because they like power and dominance and shit. This is why apparently CEOs are predominantly narcissist and psychopaths.
So when the revolution happens, how will these kinds of people be prevented from raising to power since they tend to be very competent since power and hierarchy is like their oxygen.
Like the smartest devs that I have met have been narcissists and psychopaths. They even joked on how their parents always struggled to teach them empathy.
So they tend to put a lot of effort in learning to raise to the top and have control over others.
Like, they like being in charge and they do whatever it takes for that

I think a system that doesn’t reward people for being selfish and depraved would be enough to stop certain people from obtaining power like this, but also understanding that narcissism and psychopathy are actual mental disorders that need to be properly treated.
I think so too. I would add that a lot of the asocial behaviours we see today are not inherent mental disorders but rather learned and societally rewarded and selected behaviours. When society is structured differently these “adaptations” go away, as the material conditions from which they arise no longer exist.
I’ve also seen the thesis that a socialist society can tolerate and integrate at least some people with selfish motivations because the system itself doesn’t allow for the enrichment of one at the expense of many. So even with selfish desires one ends up contributing to society and the damage is at least limited.
