I got zepbound, lost weight, it changed my relationship with hunger and food. Overall an amazing experience on this drug. I wish doctors could give it out to everyone (except like people with eating disorders)
Interesting. It can be very difficult to convince insurance to cover GLP-1s in the US as well. My doctor was determined to debate with the insurance company until they approved it for me.
I didn’t realize that countries in Europe are stingy about prescribing it too. Or that you’d be forced to pay American level prices for prescriptions.
Hopefully it’ll change some day. But yeah, the stigma found on an institutional level is big regarding a ton of preventative medicine that would be cheaper for society as a whole if covered.

It costs 500 Euro a month here and insurances refuse to cover it.

Here in Germany the insurances think that being overweight is your own fault, why should anyone help you? Just go for a run 3 times a day!
