I had a thought about my DSA chapter getting an influx of people not anything crazy but like 10 people. now I know they guy that inducted me in when I was “a tire kicker” (I use that as a slur) was good at explaining the chapter, but like how would he stay in contact with 10 people. would other members take on new “inductees”. the issue is that I have to explain what the chapter does but all the interesting things are counties away and I have to explain what they do in the area. basically I need to work on an elevator pitch, and its kind of hard to get motivated when everything they do spaced out and projects aren’t exactly materializing. I’m kind of wondering about the long term member. at this point I messaged them about making a recruitment script, and I’m probably going to make a recruitment script and submit it to them. ill share updates hopefully as they come. I still wonder how the long term members would deal with an influx of strangers, most of us are on the introverted side.
