Wait, is that what one piece is about? I may have to watch it
See you in 20 years when you catch up.
It actually is, yes.
Though if you haven’t started the series at this point, you are in for a world of hurt with filler, recaps, and molasses-slow pacing.
There is a fan project called One Pace, which re-edits the whole series to cut out as much as possible and make it easier to just watch the main story all the way through. Unless you really want to see time-stretching that makes Dragonball Z look hurried, you should watch it that way instead.
Damn, wish I knew that one year and 900 episodes ago lol
If you read the manga, the pacing is much better.
They slow drip these themes at first, but it becomes more apparent as you go on.
One Piece goes hard. One characters backstory basically starts with him, as a kid, begging to be allowed to die.
Did not expect to see best girl on Lemmy! Her anime got done dirty. I was a manga reader, but I also watched the anime, and called (guessed) her casting as well! And got to meet her, and got her to sign a Promised Neverland wall scroll I had, and my copy of Sword Art Online Vol. 7: Mother’s Rosary where she plays a character who basically only appears in that book. If you look up the cover, the girl in purple. Another best girl who also had a good lesson to teach, but I’m not going to spoil it. Anime watchers: the scene by the tree followed by the peace sign pose at the end of the second season.
I didn’t recognise the character at first, but after google the name I’m 99% sure I’ve read or seen it. I remember a lost doll, a truck?, and a room they had to steal a key for.
