    Yes, but if you chop off a hydra’s head, two more will grow in its place. That’s a good thing, because with today’s GOP, those two heads will immediately start snapping at each-other and start ignoring everything else.

    The current hydra’s head may be droopy, and its brain may be filled with lesions and lead. But, it’s able to focus on other things, at least for a bit, and direct its body to fight them. As soon as that head is gone, the other heads will probably tear the body apart as they fight each-other.
