A large popcorn is about $12 at AMC, according to thr article. So you’d be saving about $6 on every purchase. 5 large popcorns before breaking even.

Popcorn used to be the cheap trash food used to feed people during the Great Depression who couldn’t afford normal concessions. Now we’re charging a subscription for it.

If it really was a concession pass, instead of just a popcorn pass, it would be worth it.

You could tell people your deepest secrets AND get a snack at the same time.

What do confessionals and cinemas have in common? Awkward handjobs in the dark by strangers. Also, indelible regret. 🙂‍↕️

Its because its basically the thing they make a profit off of. Movie tickets alone do not even close to pay for everything theaters need. Bug part of why they are dying is even with the absurd price they are charging for tickets is most of it does not go to them.

Sounds like a free surround sound upgrade for everyone else in the cinema!

I see maybe one movie a year at the theater. Watched Superman this year, and that mainly because I had the kids for the summer. That was it, won’t go again in 2025. Maybe something in 2026 will tempt me.
