During this week or the coming weekend we plan to upgrade the server that runs some of the supplementary services like the XMPP server and Movim client, so expect some downtime of those.
Furthermore there is a strange, but hopefully minor issue with the SSD disks on the current server that runs our Lemmy instance that we can’t investigate while the instance runs on it, so we plan to move it to another server. As a first step we will move the Pictrs image host, so images might fail to load for a short while and some image uploads might get lost if they happen shortly before we move the process over. Moving the main database will require a somewhat longer downtime, so it is likely that we postpone that to another time.
You can follow the various technical announcements on the new and improved service health dashboard of our host.
Edit: The wiki will be also affected.
Server OS upgrade completed.
Next up Pictrs move.
