I got a headache everyday it is always caused by allergies. Usually it is barely noticeable, but sometimes it gets painful.
I was wondering if anyone else is on the same boat and if anyone got a fix for this.
Have you confirmed allergies as the cause? If it’s everyday it could be caused by a lot of things. Allergies are usually seasonal, or food related. So if that’s it you could try limiting your diet, or wearing an N95 mask outdoors when pollen counts are high. If it’s dust related getting an air purifier and making sure to wipe down surfaces, and vacuum is important. The exact cause is what you need to figure out.
I think it is somewhat linked to allergies because my nose is sniffy every day, but I wouldn’t be surprised if dust plays a part in it as well. I do need to vacuum and dust more, so I will see if that helps. Thank you.
In addition to trying to eliminate sources you could see about trying to flush your sinuses.
There are two basic ways to approach this:
-
Sinus/nasal rinse or irrigation. You have to be careful here as using straight tap water can kill you due to pathogens and amoeba and such present that when inhaled deep into your nose can go straight to the brain. Either use the spray bottle nasal rinses from the store (tend to be best as they have some saline so don’t dry things out or sting much) or at least distilled water or water brought to a rolling boil for 5 solid minutes then cooled to room temperature and used same day to avoid giving time for anything to grow that might occur if you store it for days. But the idea is you flush/rinse your sinus cavities by forcing clean, sterile water up into them and getting the gunk out which can relieve pressure. Nettipots are one way of doing this but they have store sold spray bottles as well. In either case you put it in one nostril, concentrate, inhale and push the water up in there.

Spicy foods. You may have noticed in the past a time where you ate something so spicy that you got a nasal drip. Well it’s possible to eat quite spicy foods in reasonable quantities and cause your sinuses to clear a bit. If you like spicy foods this may be an additional option. You’ll be teary-eyed and miserable for some minutes but it can work. It isn’t just spicy foods, some intense mustards, horseradish, wasabi, etc can have similar sinus opening effects on many people if of the right potency.
And of course if you can see a doctor about this you can ask them. Steroidal nasal sprays often work, Flonase is the brand name but you can get it prescription generic for $5 usually which is cheaper than OTC.
Sinus/nasal rinse gets the edge off during my bad headaches. I like spicy food and it a fair amount of it, but it is hard to get my nose dripping from it. I have been trying ways to make that easier. I have Flonase Furoate Nasal Spray it does very little for me personally.
I think we develop tolerance to active ingredients after a while. Claritin?
I use Allegra now and years before Zyrtec

This may sound silly but by any chance do you use soaps and detergents with a lot of scent/perfume? Some people in my family used to get chronic headaches until they switched to scent-free stuff.
My family and I avoid soaps and detergents with perfumes for that very reason.
Obviously everyone is different, but I used to when I was younger and I struggled with allergies. My advice is use a generic non-drowsy allergy pill, Loratidine, and prioritize hydration. This means not just drinking a lot of water, but getting electrolytes too. Multivitamins have some, I also make a pinch of salt with lemon juice in water drink I have once or twice a day to help. There are electrolyte products out there, but they tend to be overpriced.
Like another poster said, get an N95 mask and get the app that shows you the air quality in your area and mask up accordingly, air quality is a hugely overlooked concept in health, especially since the pandemic, which is ironic.
Could be multiple things triggering your allergies, but allergies also cause stress which can cause high blood pressure.
Also other way around. Stress van cause allergies.
My suggestion would be to measure your bp whithout headaches and with headaches. Normal range is usually within and a bit around 120 over 80.
I am someone who does not get stressed although allergies and dust are the two which are probably causing it.
Sorry, I should’ve explained better. Physical stress and psychological stress is different. For example, one can feel very relaxed when drinking, while actually stressing the body. Another would be stressing the body to relax the mind. Think of exercise releasing endorphins.
But physical stress in one part van cause physical stress in another. Example stress on the kidneys can cause adrenaline glands to release to much adrenaline which can construct your arteries causing blood pressure to rise.
This also stresses your heart, specifically left ventricule, which overtime can cause enlarged ventricular muscle, which inhibits proper blood pump, which in turns stresses other body parts due to lack of blood supply… The list goes on.
My point is even if you don’t feel stressed, your body might be. So it’s always good to check one’s blood pressure.
I nasal rinse regularly when my allergies get bad and it helps a lot.
It’s also pretty easy to make a fairly cheap air purifier with some air filter vents and a box fan that will get a ton of allergens out of the air in your house. I made someone alone to this with a 20 inch box fan and merv13 air filters. One day I’m going to make one with a flame out of wood and use it like a foot rest or “coffee table” type thing.

Yes, I do. Headaches and migraines. Trying to work out your triggers and avoid them can help but in many cases you can’t avoid the triggers. For instance, smells like perfume trigger mine and I can’t make other people stop using that. But I have cut out foods that trigger them and try to avoid dehydration. I’ve had every treatment from the neurologist including nerve blocking injections in my head, nothing works.
I had a late-diagnosed autistic friend who struggled with frequent migraines. With her diagnosis, she became aware of how those were related to sensory hypersensitivity.
I have ADHD, I know there is sensory stuff involving that.
Yes. The bourgeois psychiatry labelled me as autistic because of that, along with other labels, such as cognitive rigidity and all that has its roots in my suffering from excessive lucidity on seeing a world full of sickness and double standards.ou can
What you can do if it is allergic indeed:
- avoid too hot showers
- flush your sinuses with nasal irrigation devices
hope this helps
I do have trouble with allergies right now so yeah
