To be fair, it had a lot larger footprint in the political mindscape than it deserved. They were practically wiping out tomboys, and convincing them they were trans, which is a travesty in and of itself.

I think the whole “gender” thing has gone off the rails completely. I’ve taught my children they don’t have to apply labels to themselves - they can act however they want, dress however they want, do “guy” things, do “girl” things, and they don’t have to conform to society’s rules on what their genitalia says they should be doing. I’ve taught them that they should be proud of their bodies, and what was given to them.
