What are the odds that they’re so low on ATCs that they end up rehiring people they fire? I’m gonna say probably up by 600%, 800%, even 1400%.Not only rehire, but significantly increase their pay just to get them back. How are all these supposed businessmen so fucking bad at it?

My most tinfoil hat fear this year is that the gov is currently manufacturing an airline crisis and media scare around planes to justify grounding flights as part of an eventual round up of undesirables. Probably won’t come to pass but def been keeping an eye on how the discussion around airline safety has been playing out…
There are approximately 14K ATCs in the US. So "… It’s a small fraction of people who don’t come to work. They can create this massive disruption. And that’s what you’re seeing rippling through our skies today.”, they are going to fire the one’s who call in sick. Where are they going to find replacements for the ones that they fire?
