    According to a review lol:

    It also runs like dogwater, since Crytek still haven’t implemented multi-core support, therefore it’s pretty much as CPU limited as the original.

      Which for a remaster is fair. Introducing threading would create a lot of bugs, and basically be an overhaul of the engine.
