    They removed pride merchandise to try and appease their more extremist and fascist market segment.

      To be fair, we were also mad at Target for capitalizing on pride month with shitty rainbow washed baubles of capitalism made by children in developing countries in appalling conditions for appalling wages.

      Or it just wasn’t selling well enough and the space was better taken by things that sell better. I don’t believe I have ever bought a piece of pride merch at Target…

        The pride stuff is PR. Advertising it sends a message. Dropping it also sends a message.

          Clearly people didn’t give enough of a shit about the PR. And clearly people weren’t buying enough.

          How regularly did you buy pride merch at Target? Furthermore, how regularly did you decide to shop at Target, when you weren’t going to already, specifically because you can buy pride merch there? Is the answer to both ‘very rarely, if ever’? Because that is the answer for most people.
