I was at a social event for… damn, total of 7 hours. Most of the time just standing around, listening, and questing how I ended up there and what I am doing each time when facing a wall, talking to myself.
Of course, I was also staring at my phone a lot because, like, where else non-awkward do I lay my eyes. Plus it looks more busy I suppose.
Welp, a guy asked me what game I am playing (none), and I eventually ended up talking with someone for a bit.
Little did he know that I just coincidentally opened a blog post I found, titled “A Comprehensive Guide to Socializing in Group Settings”
Funny timing.
But yeah, it was basically split up across 2 rooms, with 4 primary groups in total, one of which could be further split into 2 sub-groups (2 different topics at once within primary, but still physically close and occasionally talking between each other.)
Anyway, there was also a white board and a marker, so the already present scribblings were joined by “join-lemmy.org” and later a not so good attempt at drawing a boykisser (but still quite recognizable).
Of course, no people there at the time.
wow epic
