Jesus was 100% Jewish circa year zero. Observed Torah, went to and taught at synagogues, celebrated Hannukkah, ate a kosher diet, etc. But Christians don’t follow Jesus’s own religious practices.

      Current scholarship? You mean Bart Ehrman- some guy who came about 2000 years after the fact and has been debunked over and over again, and is generally one who is known for making pretty bad takes and arguments. Even here the redditor claims he says:

      Ehrman doesn’t think Jesus claimed to be God, the Son of God, or even the Son of Man

      When mosy of the records about Him document Him claiming that.

      There are no inconsistencies in Acts of the Apostles either.
