Personally I agree with the case it makes. The western left is seriously disconnected from the masses, especially the working class. We need to find a way to reconnect with that base.

The left has an image issue. When people think of the left they don’t think of liberation. That needs to change if we’re ever going to find success.

I honestly think we need a certain level of neurodiversity to prioritise time in our lives for high level concepts like “the left”. Everybody else gets pissed off like you’re wasting what little free time they have for something that feels so alien.

Bar the perpetually online. “The right” don’t call themselves that. They go on they’re neither right nor left. They get upset when you apply the label. They don’t revel in how they need corporatism or monarchism to win. They just find stuff that taps into peoples darkest psyches, cheat as much as possible and win elections. Influencing centrists and opportunists for further gains.

A lot of us know on this site what is needed. It’s like the formula for making concrete. Practice disciplined democratic centralism and squash factionalism at every occurrence. Co-opt people’s nationalism to build support towards a worker’s state. Give them a clear program of minimum maximum demands based on their desires and pace accordingly.
