Pretty crazy how much control they’re able to exert over information.

Claude.ai just dies when you ask it that.

Even does it when you just want to boycott isreal.

Edit: Deepseek doesn’t give a fuck.

Interesting. I tried the exact wording you used and it gave results with no issue. I tried the same wording as OP and it said it can’t give advice, although it did summarize an Israel BDS compaign

Unfortunately located in the land of the “free”

NEVER, ever, ever, ever expect an AI to give you unaltered, unbiased facts. IF there was a time when that was possible at all.

All these AI’s are now owned by billionaires, and they spend billions to make sure that they control what that AI says.

“Gosh, golly, this AI is lying to me!”

    Yeah, no shit, dumbass.

Gemini will happily give advice on boycotting seemingly any country, including Israel

Yeah, the Gemini LLM itself feels less censored, though they deep fried it into being super sycophantic.

It won’t refuse (or disagree) much as long as you don’t trigger the prefilter.

Which is annoying, as the preview versions were not so sycophantic…

Note that the AI are generally trained on batches of the internet; they’ll always be at least 6 months behind popular opinion (and usually much longer).

There’s been a strong case made that Israel really is not Judaism, but it was a case that (sadly) needed to be made to a lot of people. I presume gpt will shift over the next few years - it is quite annoying to control the information coming out of an LLM atm. So I take this as a sign that a public information campaign worked.

It’s baffling to me that it had to be made. Why would a country be equated to a religion? It’s like saying the current Saudi government represents all of Islam

I think Israel is a case of both strong payoff (many people really dislike/push back against antisemitism in a way that they simply don’t for islamophobia; the words we have for them are weirdly not parallel), and concentrated spending for a long while.

The Saudi government probably could make itself such an icon, they have the money and the leverage. But I suspect it doesn’t benefit them much.

    Cannot have woke ai.

They further lessened the influence of the left, or just anti establishmentism with the admin orders, I bet they had already heavily rigged it against any anti oligarchic leanings.
