I honestly think there will be 2 internets in the future. Whatever commercially sanitized crap the current internet becomes; and a peer to peer generated network that requires know what you’re doing to participate.
That would be nice, but I’m sure we all know the bootlicker corpo fuck governments of the world will all outlaw the peer to peer versions for “the children.”

Also the 2nd internet won’t be a global network of cables and servers… it will be a new protocol that’s compatible with any radio equipped device. People will use old cellphones like wifi-extenders to build local networks.
I view the 2nd internet as an inevitable outcome of planned obsolesce and the aforementioned corpo-bootlickery.

Is that what they used in the Hong Kong protests a few years back? IIRC they turned off the cellphone network so protestors had to use their phones to make a p2p network.
I don’t know, I’d not heard that. Pretty ingenious, regardless. I think Meshtastic might have really started growing in the last couple of years, it’s useable without a mobile, and is pretty simple and secure
This is exactly the card collective shout is playing. They hide their real agenda behind a claim to be protecting women and children. Having sfw lgbtq and indie horror content removed seems like something maybe not aimed at helping kids
