From what I understand, Ivory King is the most popular one. But I was playing through some of it today (not my first time) and I actually think I like Sunken King the most. Which is the least popular I think? Correct me if I’m wrong on those

Not entirely sure what it is, though I feel the biggest factor for me is “vibes”. Big fan of the aesthetic, the architecture and so on. I feel it has more of a mysterious aura to it than the others too. Feels kinda like it could be somewhere in Elden Ring, though obviously how similar it is to ER isn’t a factor in how good it is

I haven’t got round to beating him yet actually, despite this being my favourite game of the series. Just like I haven’t beaten the horrors of Frigid Outskirts.

This run though, definitely happening. Absolutely. Would never get overwhelmed and just start a new run on another Soulslike…

Hmmm I hadn’t thought about it really but now I am to be fair I really should finish off the ER DLC. Only done one boss and I can’t even remember what they’re called as this was all just after it was released. How I’ve gone this long without doing it all is a mystery to me, it’s not like I wasn’t enjoying it

It’s the same for me. My SO convinced me to get the DLC because she enjoyed playing the game together, most played soulslike at like 200h across two characters even though it’s not even in my top 5 of favourite soulslikes, and we’ve played a good bit, but I just don’t have the drive to return, really.

I think a major reason I didn’t vibe with Elden Ring too much was that I had already watched an entire playthrough of the game, so I knew what I was getting into and what bosses I’ll be encountering.

Even though I went into the DLC relatively blind, apart from a few major spoilers concerning some of the bosses, thus making the exploration part a lot more enjoyable, I just don’t feel the open world as much as the worlds of “closed off” soulslikes. Nothing pulling me back in right now.

How do you like the open-world approach?

Frigid Outskirts is… an experience. I wouldn’t go back to that place even for.money. Once is enough torture. But Sir Alonne is definitely worth the struggle. I have once completed all three dlcs of base ds2, but I have not yet completed scholar of the first sin. I’ll get around to that soon… I think.
