I almost never see nose piercings anymore so I’m wondering if it’s just my perspective

I see them occasionally, but mostly on older folks. In their 30s to 40s. I rarely see them on younger people anymore.

Could be related to the death of actual subcultures? With the increasing importance of social media, people seem to get more homogenous.

Not particularly in the circles I move (young adults, academia) - at least visible piercings. It’s not that it’s socially unacceptable I think, more so that it’s a bit of a statement.

    (country is Sweden)

I dunno about the country as a whole but my city, very popular. This city is a very “alternative” city in general and doesn’t typically follow the norms but I will see people with a massive amount of piercings on a daily basis.

I think it is probably rarer to see someone without any type of body modification around these parts.
