They are saying the same bad traits that lead to someone voting for him leads can be measured in more reliable ways. A trump supporter can lie much more easily about not voting for Trump than they can lie about having good values. Similarly bad people can vote for good things. It’s a good metric for quickly filtering people but it’s not an automatic pass.

They are not supporting Trump. They are saying the same bad traits that lead to someone voting for him leads can be measured in more reliable ways.
A trump supporter can lie much more easily about not voting for Trump than they can lie about having good values.
Similarly bad people can vote for good things. It’s a good metric for quickly filtering people but it’s not an automatic pass.
